back home, in good ol' saint joe

(Post from 01.03.09)

Well, I wouldn't say life has returned back to 'normal' but, we are back home and we are almost unpacked. Notice I said almost.

It is just so much more fun to play with SJ than to do laundry, or to fold laundry or to sort laundry. Yes, than to do laundry of any kind.

Griffin and I went out last night for Ott Insurance's 'Christmas Party' which left Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Doug at home with little gal-I know, you'd think if it was their party, they would have been invited. Long story.

Anyway, today we ventured out through the snain (that is snow + rain) to Caledonia for Aunt Gayle's Christmas Contada-which was cancelled a few weeks before Christmas due to inclement weather.

What a fun day we had! The car trip was half the fun-eating doughnuts and drinking Starbucks on the way there with Grandma Debbie and G.G. Jean- and then being packed to the roof on the way home.

Because, as I'm sure you know, when the Ott's are within a 50 mile radius of a Costco, we MUST stop and shop- and shop we did. We even drug Aunt Gayle along. Great memories.

However, the highlight of the day HAD to be when Schaeffer Jo said, "Gayl."
It only took some minor prodding from G.G. Jean-and out of her lips it flew. Unbeliveable. What a delight for Aunt Gayle on her big day.

Too fun.

"Give thanks to the LORD, call on His name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice. Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always." Psalm 105:1-4
