Three. Tres. Trois.

Last night Griffin and I went to a Bethany Christian open house for domestic adoption. It has been something that we've talked about on and off for a long time--even before we knew I was pregnant with Schaeffer Jo.

The meeting was very informative, with great success stories of well-placed adoptive children. Watching the other couples in the room, it was evident there was an emotional connection happening for many of them-their listening was attentive, their facial expressions telling.

It wasn't so for us. I'm not sure why--we went with an open mind & heart for what God has next for our family, and this doesn't seem to be it, at least for now.

With that said, I'm not sure what is next for the three of us. So, we're waiting. Waiting without wasting the waiting.

"Don't get off track, either left or right, so as to make sure you get to where you're going. And don't for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind. Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you'll get where you're going; then you'll succeed.
Haven't I commanded you? Strength! Courage! Don't be timid; don't get discouraged.
God, your God, is with you every step you take." Joshua 1:9MSG
